Skills for Work and Life is a practical, supportive course that forms a Statement of Attainment from FSK20119 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways. Designed for individuals preparing to enter, re-enter, or progress in the workforce, this course develops the essential foundation skills needed for everyday workplace communication, digital technology, literacy, and career planning.

Throughout the course, learners participate in hands-on activities that build confidence and practical workplace skills. Students will develop their ability to communicate effectively, read and interpret workplace information, write simple workplace documents, use digital technology, and plan future employment or training pathways. The course focuses on real-world tasks that help learners become more confident, independent, and job-ready.

Students will complete the following nationally recognised units:

  • FSKDIG002 Use digital technology for routine and simple workplace tasks
  • FSKRDG004 Read and respond to short and simple workplace information
  • FSKWTG003 Write short and simple workplace information
  • FSKOCM002 Engage in short and simple spoken exchanges at work
  • FSKLRG003 Use short and simple strategies for career planning

Upon successful completion, students will receive a Statement of Attainment towards FSK20119 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways, providing a pathway into further vocational training, employment opportunities, and additional foundation skills qualifications.
