This course covers the following Unit of Competency from BSB20115 - Certificate II in Business

BSBITU211 Produce digital text documents
This beginner course covers Microsoft Word and is ideal for individuals who have never used the software, who have just started to learn about computers, looking to gain skills for work, or have attended the Introduction to Computers course. Contact Reception for available single courses within the Microsoft suite. 

Basic computer knowledge is required to attend this course. Students need to bring a USB flash drive. 

A Statement of Attainment will be issued for units completed in this course. 

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government – contact the Administration Office  for full course details and to see if you meet the eligibility criteria.

BSBITU212 Create and Use Spreadsheets

This course in excel will take you though the very basics of Microsoft Excel.  It will start you off to be able to learn how to find and change data in an MS Excel Spreadsheet.

You will learn

  • Navigating around Excel and the ribbon
  • Using content and formulas
  • Workbook and worksheets
  • Basic calculations
  • Basic formulas
  • Formatting and styling

Course Requirements:

This course covers the following Units of Competency from
BSB30115 Certificate III Business 

and

ICT20115 Certificate II in Information, Digital Media and Technology

Basic computer Windows 10 skills with Word, Excel and Publisher.
Learn beneficial skills for employment in a reception role, volunteer position or your community and club organisations.  Topics have been selected to give students a set of skills that can prepare them for entry level support roles.

ICTICT201 Use computer operating systems and hardware
ICTICT206  Install software applications
ICTSAS206 Detect and protect from spam and destructive software
BSBITU313 Design and produce digital text documents
BSBITU314 Design and produce spreadsheets
BSBITU309 Produce desktop published documents

Course Requirements:

Intermediate computer knowledge is required to attend this course. Students need to bring a USB flash drive.
