Course Description

This course is essential for individuals who need to be certified as Food Safety Supervisors in their workplace. It provides the skills and knowledge required to oversee food safety practices and ensure compliance with the Food Act 2003 (NSW) and associated regulations.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Apply food safety standards in the workplace
  • Identify and prevent foodborne illnesses
  • Implement and monitor safe food handling practices
  • Manage food safety risks and maintain compliance
  • Train and supervise staff on food safety procedures

Units of Competency:

  • SITXFSA005 – Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety
  • SITXFSA006 – Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices

Certification:
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive:

  1. A Statement of Attainment for the two nationally recognised units of competency.
  2. A NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate issued by an approved provider.

This course is ideal for supervisors, managers, and team leaders in hospitality, food retail, and food production industries.
