MYOB is one of today’s most popular accounting packages, designed to assist you with managing the financial workings of a business. This course is suitable for a range of learner levels, whether you are looking to improve your employment opportunities, update your existing skills for your own business or workplace, or learn new skills to start a career change.
 
The course covers using the accounting program MYOB to set up a business, creating a Chart of Accounts, keeping track of accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, BAS, creating reports, exporting to Excel and much more. Students may choose to continue on to a MYOB Payroll course (subject to availability).

Chinese Brush Painting

Course Description

Australian Qualifications Framework

Join this extremely talented artist, Stephen Cassettari, and be inspired by his creativity to produce beautiful artwork,using Bamboo brush and rice-paper to paint traditional subjects of Landscapes and Spring Flowers with single brush strokes and two colour loading.
 
About your tutor:  Stephen Cassettari is a specialist of Bamboo painting which is the most difficult category of the Chinese Art.   He frequently exhibits & sells his work in various places & has studied Chinese brush painting for over 34 years.  He teaches the only correspondence course in Chinese painting in Australia.

Using traditional techniques of single brush strokes and double colour, learn to paint a variety of motifs on Oriental, Australian, Christmas or various folded cards.

Both classes run over a whole weekend, from 10am - 4pm each day.

A list of requirements will be available at the time of enrolling.

French Beginners Level 2

Course Description

French Beginners level 2 is building on what you’ve learnt in Beginners level 1 with a focus on expression and acquiring new and more vocabulary. You will keep refining your hearing capacity and therefore increase your understand of the spoken language. You need to have completed Beginners Level 1 to participate in level 2 if you’ve never studied French or briefly in your school years. The class is very interactive and participation is key to progress. All students with some rudimentary French vocabulary and conversational expression can participate to this class.

Provide First Aid + CPR

Course Description

Australian Qualifications Framework

First Aid is the initial care of a sick or injured person. Prompt first aid can save lives in the critical time before emergency services or medical aid arrives. It can also prevent an injury or illness from becoming worse and provide comfort and reassurance to a casualty. This short course aims to demonstrate and develop skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. Both units apply to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

The key aims of first aid:

  • Preserve life of anyone involved in incident
  • Protect any unconscious person
  • Prevent any further injury or existing injury becoming worse
  • Promote recovery of casualty

Our Beyond Basic Computer Skills course and Being Safe and Secure Online course have been combined to further build knowledge on simple computer operations. It is suitable for (but not limited to) students who have completed the Introduction to Computers course.

This course will cover a range of intermediate computing skills that will develop student’s confidence in performing tasks such as resume building, installing operating systems and solving basic software issues. You will also learn how to remain safe and secure on your computer and online.

French Advanced

Course Description

Australian Qualifications Framework

This class is for all students who can sustain a conversation in French. The objective of this class is to practice French through targeted topics chosen by students at the beginning of the term. The goals are to use more specific vocabulary, get away from repetitive mistakes, keep polishing grammatical points as needed, refine pronunciation, and continue to learn new idiomatic expressions and improving oral and listening skills of the French language. Learner Driver Knowledge Course

If you are struggling to pass the RMS Learner Driver Knowledge Test in order to get your L plates, our course can provide assistance to develop your language, literacy and numeracy skills, helping you understand what is required to pass the test and to achieve a result in gaining your learner drivers license. There will be interactive learning activities, opportunities to practice the test online, and setting up the driving test app on your phone.
